BMW Roadster Homecoming
2003 (part8)
Saturday night Homecoming Banquet
In keeping with the Hawaiian theme for the evening we all dressed up in our best Islander garb. Those of us without wore a lei. A shot of mine hanging from the rear-view dresses the princess up that evening also. (photo credit Denise)

Saturday night we had dinner at the plant, in the very spot where Z3s were manufactured. BMW did a wonderful job decorating and lighting the old Z3 assembly line and made us feel right at home.
Homecoming Banquet was a feast to be sure, but what is a luau without Polynesian dancers? They were superb.

By contrast, our Northeastern volunteers, Ron & Peter did their best to emulate those hip movements - a la hula hoops, They were such good sports, who were only surpassed when Kenn Sparks stepped onto the stage to assist our magician/comedian with his next act. (below)
I am sorry you must share the stage/screen here Kenn, but this girl really knew how to move her hips. (unlike our two swivel-hips above)

Then came the auction of the 2003 Roadster Homecoming quilt, so graciously donated and which raised an additional $3,600 for the Make a Wish Foundation that night.
After a closer inspection of this beautiful quilt, so many of us from past years found ourselves listed, not only on the front, but the back. A truly beautiful gift to present to BMW for the Make a Wish auction.
