"HCO2 Flashback (part 1)
My photographic records started out the week before HC02 with these gorgeous sunsets
(one after the other) on the lake. IE: the weather was looking PERFECT.

For those would like, here's a bitmap which you can be saved to your windows directory of all four, for a new windows desktop. Click ( here ) and save to your Windows directory. Being a bitmap and rather large, this 3.6mb file is not recommended for dial-up connections! But then neither are these pages. But for those on less then 40-50 Kbps dial-up connections, I trust the wait will be worth it.
Also, some of these smaller pics may have larger xga (800x600 pixel) links attached to them, so be sure to run your cursor over any that you think you might like to see larger views of.

Since we were planning to head West, doing the Nashville Bash on Wednesday and the Dragon on Thursday, I left Monday for a Tuesday departure from Ron Carol's instead of our traditional Wednesday departure. The weather was perfect.
We planned to meet in PA off Rt. 81 just past Harrisburg, right after Rt. 84 joins it. I got there first!

Carol Ron showed up 15 or 20 minutes later and then were were three!
Then, talk about CRAZY? After our first day's drive to VA, yes we left late, and a night's sleep in some non-descript Hotel which we found late Tuesday night. We took off Wednesday morning after finding some coffee, gas and muffins. Once on the highway we began to hear weak signals on Channel 3 of our Talkabouts. As we drove on the voices got clearer and sounded unmistakably like Z3ers on route. I called out, hey you guys, is this a Z3 Convoy that we've caught up to? Some called back, who is this? We identified ourselves and they did too. It was no other than the infamous New Jersey Convoy headed by Ed Scuba (Bansch).

So we joined in, on one occasion traded the lead, yep you guessed it, following gives one a butt-end view only! Ed then radio-ed to exit for a respite, (I don't recall why, but too the opportunity to get another from the front looking back!

This is what we looked like on route. We then pulled off the interstate for a pit-stop and gas and for something else. We must have killed good 30-45 minutes there but the reason became apparent once the Men in M's showed up! (a bit late from their run-in with the law)

While waiting we watched Red Jen 'tuck in' her care package for safe keeping, and checked out each other's mods (Ed's awesome D.A. Supercharged 1.9l is on the next page, which, btw I have still not had an opportunity to drive - Craig)
